About Me

Serving The Community

I was elected to Rogers City Council in 2020 and seeking reelection to continue serving our city!  My wife Chris and I have lived in Rogers for 26 years where we raised our two daughters and enjoyed the benefits of a smaller town.  Prior to City Council, I served on the Rogers Planning Commission which gave me an understanding of the pressures of growth on our small town.  The past 10 years of serving the City of Rogers has allowed me to build relationships with city staff,  our residents, and and hard working business owners!  This experience has brought me a deep understanding of the issues important to city government.


My professional career includes 30 years experience as a Civil Engineer with a background in transportation and public works projects.  I have focused my career on helping cities plan for and implement projects that bring value and build communities. I enjoy bringing my passion as a problem solver to city government and helping find the most cost effective solutions for you, the residents of Rogers!  Please consider voting for me to continue serving you in Rogers!  Thank You!

My Priorities

While local government provides many services; these are my priorities for Rogers:

Transportation and Infrastructure

  • My background as a Civil Engineer in the private sector designing and managing road projects along with sewer and water improvements for public agencies allows me to work with city staff to review and offer input on city projects to bring the most value to citizens of Rogers. 
  • I am focused on working with Hennepin County to find funding for the reconstruction of Main St.
  • Helped with federal funding applications to secure money for the reconstruction of the I-94 and TH 101 interchange
  • I am a member of the I-94 West Corridor Coalition which advocates for transportation funding which serves the Northwest Metro Area including Rogers. 
  • Met with leaders at the state and federal level to bring money to Rogers.
  • Continue to actively manage growth and build the needed infrastructure to meet our future needs.

Public Safety

  • My greatest priority is to ensure our public safety departments have the needed staff and resources to keep us all safe in Rogers!
  • I have supported both our police and fire departments are fully staffed and equipped.
  • In 2022, I participated in our Citizens Police Academy to learn about the operations of our police department.
  • Supported construction of Fire Station 2 to better serve our community
  • I am actively working with our police department to build a new police station as they are outgrowing their current spot.

Parks and Recreation

  • I support building more trails with new developments to better connect neighborhoods.
  • Need to fund new park construction and maintenance of existing park facilities.
  • I worked with the RYHA to build a public-private partnership to fund construction of a second sheet of ice at the RAC.
  • Expansion of the RAC to include a new indoor turf facility.

Economic Development

  • We have been successful in bringing new businesses to Rogers including commercial, industrial, and retail.
  • I have had the opportunity to work with business owners to understand their needs in bringing more jobs to town.
  • Focused on attracting smaller type restaurants and breweries to Rogers.
  •  I have always looked for opportunities for public-private partnerships to attract businesses!

Planning

  • Through many years on our PC and now on CC, I try and bring our planning department a vision for how Rogers wants to look in the future.
  • We have gone through significant growth over the past 10 years; I am committed to managing this growth and planning for the needed infrastructure.
